Re: The way tournaments are run on triqqy is stupid
Only a moron would agree with this explanation. Two player games are head-to-head matches. What's the difference if you win a match 3-0 or 2-1? The loser is eliminated and the winner moves up. Have you seen ANY other tournaments? Tennis? Even going by the nonsensical and idiotic method you stated (s...

The way tournaments are run on triqqy is stupid
See this tournament: https://triqqy.com/#/tournament/214 (Tigris & Euphrates) 8 players, 2-player games. In round one both player A and player B beat their opponents and move up to round 2. In round 2 Player A beats player B. But player B is the one that is moved up to the third and final round!...

Re: Bugs
Hi, Bug in a tournament - advancing a player to round 3 with only one win in the first two rounds and eliminating the player with two wins , one of which against the player that was advanced! I'm posting this here because I didn't get any response to my earlier direct messages via the Triqqy website...

Re: Unbalanced player turn order in tournaments
I know it's free and I understand it takes a lot of time and effort to keep the site running and I very much appreciate it. I'm even willing to pay a reasonable registration fee, if instated. The stats I listed were simply to show an example of how skewed the turn orders can become if left to a rand...

Re: Unbalanced player turn order in tournaments
Here are my turn order stats so far for Through the Desert. All are 2-player games. * In the last 19 games I've been first only twice! * I have played the game a total of 23 times, I've been first only 5 times. * I've played 7 games against one opponent. He was first every single time!!! 6 of the 7 ...

Unbalanced player turn order in tournaments
Unbalanced player turn order in tournaments I've noticed that very often unbalanced and unfair turn orders are assigned to players in tournament games. I assume a randomizing mechanism is used for that, but it definitely needs to be looked into and revised to make it more balanced. I'm sure we can c...

Penalty for abandoning a game
There must be a significant penalty (losing additional Score points) for a player that abandons a game. Currently, it looks like there is no difference between the points deducted for losing a game and abandoning the game. This encourages some irresponsible players to just abandon games that they fe...

Start and completion dates of tournaments
Hi all
I think it is useful to put the start and completion dates of each tournament in the results section, or at least just the completion date. Currently this info doesn't exist and it's hard to go back and find the results of the tournaments you may have played in or are curious about. Thanks.

Re: What new games would we like to see on Triqqy?
Any of the following would be great! Of course I don't know anything about the copyrights, feasibility, and other considerations when it comes to development of each specific game, but I'm sure a huge amount of time and effort is required. Regardless, I appreciate the existing collection on Triqqy. ...
